Yellow Alert Issued for Dense Fog in 14 Odisha Districts Over Next 24 Hours

Dense fog is expected to continue covering Odisha, with the regional meteorological center predicting misty conditions for both coastal and inland areas throughout the state.

A yellow alert has been issued for the next 24 hours in 14 districts, which include Sundargarh, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi.

The meteorological department has also issued a yellow alert for January 28, warning of dense fog in districts such as Kendrapara, Jajpur, Cuttack, Khordha, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal. Reports suggest that visibility in these areas could drop below 50 meters, with some places potentially experiencing zero visibility.

Weather scientist Sanjeev Dwivedi noted that there is no significant weather system affecting Odisha at the moment and advised caution for vehicles traveling on ghat roads and accident-prone areas.
