A woman, who was severely injured in a Mo Bus accident that also took her daughter’s life on Friday evening, passed away at AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Monday.
She had been struggling with serious injuries and, unfortunately, couldn’t recover.
The tragic incident occurred on the night of February 14, when a speeding Mo Bus, returning to the Kalinga Nagar depot, reportedly collided with two scooters near a mall in Patrapada, Bhubaneswar.
The crash instantly killed a woman and left her husband severely injured, throwing him several meters away from the impact.
In a shocking turn of events, the bus driver continued to drive recklessly, hitting another scooter and dragging it for some distance before locals were able to stop him. The collision killed a woman and left her mother critically injured. Despite being rushed to AIIMS, the mother passed away this morning.

Eyewitnesses claimed the bus was speeding dangerously. In response, angry locals vandalized the bus, prompting the police to arrest the driver.
Viral footage of the crash in Patrapada has sparked even more public outrage, with residents calling for stricter safety measures.
This incident follows closely after a tragic accident on February 4 in the Raghunathpur area of Bhubaneswar, where a Mo Bus killed a young girl.
There has been increasing concern and calls for action regarding the rising number of Mo Bus accidents in recent days. The growing outrage led Housing and Urban Development Minister, Krushna Chandra Mohapatra, to announce that state government-run buses will be renamed ‘Ama Bus’ and will be equipped with cameras and surveillance systems to improve safety and ensure better enforcement of rules.
