The Mumbai Police detained three individuals employed at Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s home following an attack on him.
These three were taken to the police station for questioning regarding the incident.
Saif Ali Khan was reportedly stabbed by an intruder who entered his residence in Mumbai. The attack occurred around 4:00 AM, and the actor is currently receiving treatment at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. The police have initiated an investigation and filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the intruder at the Bandra Police Station.
According to police reports, the intruder broke into Saif Ali Khan’s home while he was asleep with his family. A struggle ensued between Saif and the intruder after the latter attempted to enter, leading to Saif being attacked six times before the assailant fled.
Saif, along with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their children, had recently celebrated New Year’s in Switzerland and returned to Mumbai last week.
Khan’s team released a statement confirming the attempted burglary and stating that he is currently in surgery at the hospital. They requested patience from the media and fans, emphasizing that it is now a police matter.
A source indicated that Saif confronted the thief unarmed to protect his family during the night. He bravely fought to prevent harm to them but sustained injuries in the process while the intruder was armed.
The police have begun an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from around Saif’s house.
Reports confirm that his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their children, Taimur and Jeh, are safe.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Bandra division confirmed that Saif was injured during the incident. He stated, “An unidentified individual entered Actor Saif Ali Khan’s home. There was a scuffle between them, resulting in injuries to the actor, who is currently receiving medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing.”
Initial investigations suggest that only one person attempted to rob Saif’s residence, according to police sources.
