Subhadra Yojana: Empowering Women on International Women’s Day
On this special International Women’s Day, over 1.18 crore women across Odisha received their second installment under the Subhadra Yojana. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi disbursed more than ₹5,000 crore directly into their bank accounts at a special event in Berhampur.
This initiative, launched to strengthen women’s financial independence, ensures that each beneficiary receives up to ₹5,000. Timed perfectly with Women’s Day, this support aims to uplift and empower women across the state, helping them build a more secure future.
Subhadra Yojana: Next Installment on Raksha Bandhan
Good news for beneficiaries of Subhadra Yojana! The third installment will be credited directly to their bank accounts on Raksha Bandhan.

To be eligible for this financial support, applications must have been submitted by March 31. Those who applied within the deadline will receive a lump sum of three installments on Raksha Bandhan, a festival that symbolizes love and protection among siblings. This initiative continues to empower women, bringing financial stability to countless families across Odisha.
This financial support shows the Odisha government’s strong commitment to ensuring women’s economic stability and independence.
Financial Support for Women’s Welfare
The Odisha government has set aside ₹10,145 crore for the 2025-26 budget to continue supporting women’s welfare. Additionally, ₹153 crore has been allocated for the Subhadra Suraksha scheme, which focuses on women’s safety and well-being.
Both the Subhadra and Subhadra Suraksha schemes highlight the government’s commitment to empowering women and ensuring their financial security.
