Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), a part of Reliance Retail, has launched a new sports drink called “Spinner” for just ₹10. This affordable drink was co-created with legendary cricket icon Muttiah Muralitharan. RCPL aims to revolutionize hydration by offering an affordable and refreshing option for all Indians, including athletes and anyone needing a quick energy boost.

Reliance Retail’s new sports drink, “Spinner,” stands out due to its affordability, strategic partnerships, and focus on the mass market. Priced at just ₹10, Spinner aims to revolutionize hydration by making it accessible to all Indians, a stark contrast to premium-priced international brands. The co-creation with cricket legend Muttiah Muralitharan adds credibility, and partnerships with top IPL teams like Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants will boost brand visibility nationwide. Spinner comes in three flavors – Lemon, Orange, and Nitro Blue – and is designed to replenish fluids and electrolytes lost during physical activity. Reliance aims to establish a $1 billion sports beverage category in India within three years with Spinner.

With Spinner, Reliance is looking to create a sports beverage category of up to $1 Billion in the next 3 years. It enters a market dominated by brands like PepsiCo’s Gatorade and Coca-Cola’s Powerade but at a much lower price point.
