Although there were rumors about a Galaxy S25 Slim, it was not revealed. However, a new Galaxy S25 Edge model was introduced, which offers a slimmer profile. The pricing for the S25 series in the U.S. starts at $799 (around ₹69,000), with the S25+ priced at $999 (₹86,000) and the S25 Ultra at $1,299 (₹1,12,299). While the prices for the Plus and Ultra models are unchanged from the previous Galaxy S24 series, the S25 standard has seen a small price increase of ₹1,000.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Key Features
The Galaxy S25 Ultra brings performance and features upgrades. It boasts a larger 6.9-inch display, slightly bigger than its predecessor’s 6.8-inch screen, with smoother, rounded edges. Despite the bigger size, the phone is lighter, weighing just 218 grams, and still packs a 5,000mAh battery, similar to the previous Ultra models.
The camera system has received a significant boost, featuring a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera (up from the earlier 12MP sensor), and two telephoto cameras—a 50MP lens with 5x optical zoom, and a secondary 10MP lens with 3x optical zoom. The front-facing camera remains at 12MP but is expected to offer improved selfie and video call quality. The Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with 12GB of RAM across all storage variants—256GB, 512GB, and 1TB—and is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. This custom chip delivers better performance and energy efficiency. Samsung has also improved the phone’s heat management with a 40% larger vapor chamber.

New AI Features
Samsung has introduced several exciting AI features in the Galaxy S25 series. The “Generative Edit” tool in the photo editor has been enhanced, allowing users to remove people and their shadows from images. A new feature, “Now Brief,” gives users a daily personalized summary, and Samsung Gallery now supports natural language search to make it easier to find specific images. The on-device “Personal Data Engine” ensures user data remains secure, focusing on privacy.
Additionally, the AI Select tool suggests relevant AI features based on your screen activity. For example, it can offer writing suggestions or summarize text. Samsung also introduced voice-triggered tasks, like activating a blue light filter when you mention eye strain.
Another impressive addition is Live Video, which provides real-time guidance, such as step-by-step instructions for baking. The AI system now also supports translations in 20 languages, making it easier to communicate during calls and in-person interactions.
