After showcasing the Scram 440 at Motoverse 2024, Royal Enfield has officially launched the motorcycle in India. The base model called the Trail variant, is priced at ₹2.08 lakh, which is only ₹1,300 more than its predecessor, the Scram 411. The premium Force variant is available at ₹2.15 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).

The Scram 440 is powered by a newly developed 443cc air and oil-cooled engine, delivering 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, offering improved touring capabilities thanks to the larger engine capacity and additional gear. The Trail variant features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with tube-type tires, while the higher-spec Force trim comes with alloy wheels and tubeless tires. The bike has telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear for suspension. It comes with disc brakes on both wheels for braking.
The design of the Scram 440 closely resembles the Scram 411, featuring a round headlight with a small cowl, a large fuel tank, and a sleek tail section. The bike introduces fresh color options, including Force Teal, Force Grey, Force Blue, Trail Green, and Trail Blue. Key features include an LED headlight, switchable dual-channel ABS, and an upgraded front brake for improved stopping power.
With its competitive pricing and features, the Royal Enfield Scram 440 is set to rival the Triumph Scrambler 400X and Yezdi Scrambler in the Indian market.
