Veteran Ollywood actor Uttam Mohanty passed away on Thursday night while receiving treatment at Medanta Hospital in Delhi. He had been battling liver complications.
His son, actor Babushaan, was informed of the heartbreaking news.

“I have been connected to him since birth because my real name is Uttam Kumar Das. When I entered the film industry, he was already a superstar. A producer suggested I change my name to Sritam to avoid confusion. He was always special to me and showed me so much love. I share a close bond with his family,” he said.
