Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi made headlines when he chose to travel in the Tata Nano car of his Deputy Chief Minister, K V Singh Deo, after attending the Krushi Odisha Conclave 2025. This decision to break protocol quickly gained attention, especially after a video of the CM with his hands folded in the small car went viral on social media.
The incident occurred as they were returning from the three-day agricultural festival held at Baramunda Ground in Bhubaneswar, which was inaugurated by CM Majhi. The event, organized by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, focused on the theme “A Step Towards Sustainable Food System.”
During their ride, Deputy CM Singh Deo was behind the wheel, while Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari and the Chief Minister’s security officer occupied the back seat. Notably, Majhi’s official motorcade followed closely behind them.
