Before the Budget Session began, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his strong belief that India will successfully achieve its vision of becoming a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
In his address to the media, PM Modi paid homage to Maa Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, and prayed for her blessings on the poor and middle class. He highlighted that India has proudly completed 75 years as a democratic nation and has established a strong presence on the global stage.
Modi mentioned that this is the first complete budget of his third term and confidently predicted that by 2047 when India celebrates 100 years of independence, the vision of Viksit Bharat will be realized. He emphasized that the upcoming budget would energize the nation and inspire all 140 crore citizens to work towards this goal.

The Prime Minister outlined a roadmap for economic development focused on innovation, inclusion, and investment. He indicated that several important bills will be discussed during this session, and he hopes for active participation from all Members of Parliament (MPs), especially younger MPs, as they have a unique opportunity to contribute to building Viksit Bharat.
PM Modi expressed his commitment to all-around development during this term and encouraged MPs to meet the expectations of the people. He believes that today’s youth will benefit from these efforts in the future.
