Virat Kohli Shines as India Beats Australia to Enter Champions Trophy Final

India booked their spot in the Champions Trophy final with a solid four-wicket win over Australia on Tuesday. Star batter Virat Kohli led the charge, scoring a brilliant 84 runs to guide the team to victory.

Batting first, Australia put up 264 runs before being bowled out in 49.3 overs. India successfully chased the target with 11 balls to spare, securing a well-earned win.

With this victory, India moves one step closer to lifting the trophy.

Apart from Virat Kohli’s steady 98-ball 84, Shreyas Iyer scored 45, while KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya made valuable contributions of 42 and 28 runs, respectively, in the first semifinal.

Captain Steve Smith and Alex Carey played crucial knocks on the Australian side, scoring half-centuries to help their team cross the 260-run mark.

Steve Smith was Australia’s top scorer with 73 runs off 96 balls. He built two important partnerships—first, a 50-run stand with Travis Head (39) for the second wicket, followed by a 56-run partnership with Marnus Labuschagne (29) for the third wicket.

Alex Carey played a key role for Australia, scoring 61 runs to help boost their total.
