The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued alerts for multiple districts, cautioning residents about potential risks associated with these weather conditions.

Yellow Warning: Issued for Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Keonjhar districts, indicating a high risk of thunderstorms and lightning. Residents are advised to stay indoors as wind speeds are expected to range between 30 to 40 km/hr. Additionally, there is a possibility of heavy rain and hailstorms in these areas.

Orange Warning: Issued for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Balasore districts, warning of thunderstorms with lightning, gusty winds reaching 40-50 kmph, and hail. This warning signifies a higher level of risk, emphasizing the need for caution.

Rain and Lightning Forecast

Beyond the districts under yellow and orange warnings, areas in Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Gajapati, and Ganjam are expected to experience light showers accompanied by lightning. A shift in the weather pattern is anticipated soon, which should bring some relief from the current conditions.
