England’s Harry Kane set a new Bundesliga milestone on Friday, breaking Erling Haaland’s record to become the fastest player to reach 50 goals in the league.

The record-breaking achievement came during Bayern Munich’s dominant 3-0 victory over Augsburg. Kane scored all three goals, marking his seventh hat-trick since joining the German club. This performance not only brought his season tally to 14 league goals but also helped Bayern extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points.

Kane’s first two goals came through flawlessly executed second-half penalties. He sealed his hat-trick in style, capitalizing on a perfect cross from Leon Goretzka with a masterful piece of control, heading the ball into an open net.The English striker continues to cement his legacy in Germany, proving himself as one of the most clinical finishers in modern football.

England captain Harry Kane has broken yet another record, surpassing Erling Haaland’s feat in the Bundesliga. Haaland, who previously set the benchmark during his time at Borussia Dortmund, reached 50 league goals in just 50 matches by November 2021, a record that had beaten Timo Konietzka’s by nine games.

Kane, however, achieved this milestone in only 43 appearances after joining Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023. The 31-year-old has been unstoppable in Germany’s top flight, notching 50 goals alongside 14 assists, underlining his role as a key player for Bayern Munich.

Kane’s exceptional form showcases not only his goal-scoring prowess but also his ability to contribute creatively, making him an indispensable part of Bayern’s attacking dominance.

Despite Harry Kane’s remarkable tally of 36 league goals — and 44 across all competitions — last season, Bayern Munich ended their campaign without silverware. The team finished third in the Bundesliga, trailing a dominant Bayer Leverkusen by 18 points, as Leverkusen completed the season undefeated.

This result highlighted Bayern’s struggles despite Kane’s individual brilliance, emphasizing the need for a stronger overall team performance to reclaim their competitive edge.

Bayern Munich is gearing up for a challenging stretch of games. They face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, followed by a Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund in a week’s time. This demanding schedule concludes with a German Cup Round of 16 match at home against defending champions Bayer Leverkusen on December 3. Over the span of 11 days, the team will play four crucial matches, testing their stamina and form across multiple competitions.
