Social media influencer and former Bigg Boss star contestant Vikas Jayram Fhatak, also known as Hindustani Bhau, has approached the Bombay High Court to file an FIR against filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan.

His complaint is based on a comment she allegedly made about the Hindu festival of Holi during a recent episode of Celebrity MasterChef.

Allegations Against Farah Khan

Hindustani Bhau has accused Farah Khan of using the term “Chhapris” to describe the festival of Holi, a word often considered offensive. He believes this remark hurts Hindu sentiments and could create communal tension.

Earlier, he had also filed a complaint at Mumbai’s Khar Police Station urging legal action against the filmmaker. In his complaint, he cited sections 196, 299, 302, and 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

He said to the media, “Holi is celebrated by a billion Indians, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, spiritual leaders, and devotees.” Calling it a festival of ‘chhapris’ is disrespectful to Sanatan Dharma and its followers.”

Bollywood’s Alleged Disrespect Towards Hindu Traditions

Hindustani Bhau also criticized Bollywood for repeatedly showing Hinduism in a negative light through films and public statements.

“Bollywood has always misrepresented Hindu traditions and beliefs. This is yet another example of that,” he remarked.

Waiting for Farah Khan’s Response

The controversy is making headlines, but Farah Khan has not yet addressed the allegations.

On the professional front, she is currently a judge on Celebrity MasterChef, alongside chefs Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna.
