In a recent update regarding the Sandhya Theatre incident, actor Allu Arjun has been arrested by the Hyderabad Police. The arrest was confirmed by ACP Chikkadpally L. A judge has requested an order to prevent his arrest until Monday and instructed the police to provide an update by 2:30 PM. Currently, Allu Arjun has been transported to Gandhi Hospital from the police station and is expected to appear in court later.

The situation began on the release date of Allu Arjun’s film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, when a tragic incident occurred at Sandhya Theatre, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to at least two others. Chaos erupted as fans rushed to see the actor upon his arrival, leading to a stampede. In response, police have filed charges against Allu Arjun under several sections, including Section 3(1) Red with 3/5 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which could result in penalties ranging from one to ten years in prison.

During the premiere night, a massive crowd gathered outside the theatre, creating a dangerous situation as fans pushed towards the entrance. The police, who were present to manage the crowd, had to use lathi charges to regain control. Following the incident, Revathi, the woman who lost her life, was attending the premiere with her husband and two children.

The family of the deceased has filed complaints against both Myntra and Allu Arjun due to the chaos that unfolded that night.
