Jio Introduces Rs 100 Recharge with 5GB Data and Jio Hotstar for 90 Days

Following the merger of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar, Reliance Jio has quietly stopped offering the basic JioCinema benefit in all its recharge plans and Jio introduced a new data-only plan that includes a 90-day subscription to Jio Hotstar along with 5GB of data for Rs 100.

This plan is available on Jio’s website and is valid for 90 days. Unlike the standard Jio Hotstar mobile plan, which costs Rs 149 for 90 days and only works on mobile phones, this plan allows users to watch web series, movies, and live sports like the IPL 2025 on both smartphones and smart TVs at up to 1080p resolution. Compared to the standalone Jio Hotstar Super plan, which costs Rs 299, this plan is a great value, especially for those without a Jio Hotstar subscription.

This recharge plan includes a Jio Hotstar subscription, which is an affordable option for data and OTT benefits. However, it does not offer any calling or SMS benefits, and users need a base plan to activate it. Alternatively, Jio offers a Rs 195 cricket data pack that includes 15GB of data and a 90-day Jio Hotstar mobile subscription. Still, this plan only works on mobile devices and does not support streaming on smart TVs. 

This plan from Jio is quite interesting because it significantly lowers the subscription cost. It also includes 5GB of extra data, which is useful for streaming content at higher quality. Since Jio Hotstar is the only platform streaming the IPL 2025, this plan will be very beneficial for cricket fans who want to watch live matches on their smartphones or smart TVs.
