Recent reports of Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja’s potential divorce have been making headlines.The couple has been married for nearly four decades, but rumors of separation have been fueled by Sunita’s statements about living in separate houses.
Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, addressed the rumors, suggesting that some reports were exaggerated to gain public attention. However, Govinda’s lawyer, Lalit Bindal, clarified that Sunita did file for divorce six months ago, but the couple has since resolved their issues.
Bindal shared that despite the initial filing, Govinda and Sunita are now back together. They even traveled to Nepal for the New Year and performed a puja at the Pashupatinath Temple. Bindal emphasized that their relationship is strong and they will always be together.

Bindal also clarified that reports of them living separately were misinterpreted. Govinda had purchased a bungalow for official use after becoming an MP, which is located opposite their long-time residence. He sometimes stays there for meetings, but there is no lack of interest in caring for his family.
Bindal noted that Sunita’s comments on podcasts were selectively picked and misinterpreted, contributing to the confusion.
Govinda himself dismissed the rumors, stating that he is focused on starting new film projects and that the rumors are merely “business talks.”
While there have been reports of marital issues and a divorce filing, the couple is currently working through their problems. The exact future of their marriage remains uncertain, but for now, they are reportedly back together.
