Ola Electric Mobility Ltd launched its new Gen 3 electric scooter range on January 31, 2025. This new lineup includes models like the S1 Pro, S1 Pro+, S1 X, and S1 X+. The scooters feature Ola’s latest ‘MoveOS 5’ operating system, enhancing their performance and user experience.
Key Features of the Gen 3 Scooters:
Battery Options:
The S1 Pro is available with a 3 kWh or a 4 kWh battery.
The Pro+ offers a choice between a 4 kWh and a 5.3 kWh battery.
The S1 X comes with options for 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh batteries, while the S1 X+ has a fixed 4 kWh battery.
Range and Speed:
The Pro+ model boasts an impressive range of 320 km and can reach speeds of up to 141 kph.
Advanced Technology:
The scooters are equipped with Ola’s ‘Brake by Wire’ technology, which improves braking efficiency and extends brake pad life by regenerating electricity during braking.

Motor Design:
Unlike previous models that used hub motors, the Gen 3 scooters have a mid-drive motor and an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU), making them more efficient and lightweight.
Durability Improvements:
The new chain drive system is designed to last twice as long as the previous belt drive system.

Starts at ₹79,999 for the 2 kWh version.
₹89,999 for the 3 kWh version.
₹99,999 for the 4 kWh version.
S1 X+:
Priced at ₹1,07,999.
S1 Pro:
₹1,14,999 for the 3 kWh model.
₹1,34,999 for the 4 kWh model.
Pro+:
It costs ₹1,54,999 for the 4 kWh version.
₹1,69,999 for the flagship model with a 5.3 kWh battery.
Orders for these models are being accepted starting today, with deliveries expected to begin in mid-February.
Market Performance:
Before the launch event at around 10:35 AM IST, Ola Electric Mobility Ltd shares were trading positively at ₹75.50 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), reflecting a rise of approximately 12.94%.
