Three people, including the shooter, were killed on Monday during a tragic incident at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin. Initially, authorities reported five deaths, but this was later corrected. The police confirmed the suspected shooter was a student at the school. Seven others were injured in the attack, with injuries ranging from minor to severe. Law enforcement is investigating further to understand the motive behind the incident and ensure the safety of the community.

“Today is a deeply tragic day, not just for Madison but for our entire nation,” Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes expressed to reporters, reflecting the collective sorrow and grief caused by the incident.

Barnes reported that police received a call about the shooting just before 11 a.m. Officers entered the school but did not use their weapons. “They discovered the individual responsible, who was already deceased,” Barnes said.

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers extended his sympathies, saying, “We are keeping the students, staff, and the entire Abundant Life school community in our thoughts and prayers. We’re also grateful to the first responders who acted swiftly to manage the situation.

Abundant Life Christian School, located on a sprawling 28-acre campus, serves about 390 students ranging from kindergarten to high school. It primarily caters to families within the Dane County region.
